Posted the first episode a few weeks ago and then completely forgot to check out the rest as they came out. Here's episode 1-4 of the new Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series.
I found the first three episodes to be pretty enjoyable. Jeri Ryan is still hot after all these years and Michael Jai White is usually a fun actor to watch in a fight. The fact that they made Johnny Cage into a washed up former Power Ranger actor is a hilarious turn.
Then I got to episode four. What a let down.
The show goes from being a somewhat grounded-in-reality(compared to the previous MK movies and TV show) and reverts back to the crazy mystical crap the series has been putting out since the beginning. All I wanted was a bloody tournament filled with psycho's and freaks and some cops with maybe a dash of sci-fi thrown in. This realm invasion/other magical stuff is so old.
